Warren Buffett is a philanthropist, rich businessman, and American investor. He is also Berkshire Hathaway’s president and Chief executive officer. We consider him among the richest and most powerful investors. Warren has a net worth of US $82.4 billion as of August 2020, making him the 6th richest person in the world.
Buffett had become a millionaire due to various partnerships in 1962. In fact, it had a massive deficit of $7,178,500 in Jan 1962, of which Buffett bought more than $1,025,000. He blended all those partnerships into one. He invested a lot of money at a periodic pace and ultimately gained control of the textile production firm, Berkshire Hathaway.
However, through his holding company Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett owns Stakes in many other firms. In fact, it includes firms like Apple, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Visa, Mastercard, and Kraft Heinz.
He follows the basic ideas of investing are to look at stocks as a business, take advantage of market volatility and seek a margin of protection. He trusts on Ben Graham’s rulebook while purchasing any stock. Those rules will continue to be the cornerstones of investing a hundred years from now.
Buffet’s Love towards Music
He bought one of the diminutive instruments to impress and has been playing it ever since. Although the attempt was ineffective, his passion for music was a key part to become a part of the life of Susan Thompson, and led to their marriage. Buffett often plays the device at shareholder meetings and other occasions.
However, at an age of 16 Buffett enrolled to study business at the University of Pennsylvania. He stayed there for two years, moved to the University of Nebraska to complete his degree. In fact, he emerged at an age of 20 from college with nearly earnings of $10,000 from his childhood business.
Warren also known as the Oracle of Omaha. He continues to run Berkshire Hathaway, which also holds over 60 firms all together. First time he purchased the stock at an age of 11. Also, he filed taxes for the 1st time at age 13. World well knows him for his charity work. The billionaire investor has pledged to donate more than 99% of their wealth.
In 1951 he graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in economics. In fact, at there he studied under economist Benjamin Graham and continued his education at the New York Institute of Finance.
Warren has influenced by Graham’s 1949 book, The Intelligent Investor. He sold bonds for three years to Buffett-Falk & Firm. It takes effect just before serving as an analyst for his mentor at Graham-Newman Corp. for two years.
