Lyon will take on Manchester City on August 15 in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Manchester City beat Real Madrid 2–1 in second pre-quarterfinals.

Giants football clubs Juventus and Real Madrid crashed out of the UEFA Champions League on Friday. Juventus beat Lyon 2–1 in the league’s pre-quarterfinals leg-2. Despite this, Juventus are out of the tournament. It eliminated Real Madrid from the league by beating Manchester City 2–1 in the second pre-quarterfinals of the league. With this victory, Lyon and Manchester City have advanced to the quarter-finals. Now both these teams will compete in the quarter-finals on 16 August. It will hold the final of the league on 23 August.

Ronaldo scored 2 goals in the match:

Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo scored 2 goals for Juventus in the match. But both of Ronaldo’s goals did not work for Juventus and Lyon reached the quarter-finals because of more away goals. With this victory, French club Lyon reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2010. Lyon earlier beat Juventus 1–0 in the first leg.

Juventus received a penalty because of Depe’s handball. Ronaldo converted the opportunity into a goal and brought the team to a 1–1 draw.

In the second half, Ronaldo scored the second goal of the match in the 60th minute to give Juventus a 2–1 lead. Lyon tried hard to make a comeback. But could not succeed. However, even after losing the match, Lyon reached the quarter-finals. Let me tell you, Juventus have not won the Champions League title since 1996. Juventus then became champions for the second time.

Rahim and Gabriel scored goals for Manchester City:

Rahim Sterling and Gabriel Jesus scored for Manchester City in the league’s second pre-quarterfinals. Manchester City scored in the 9th minute and Gabriel scored in the 68th minute. Karim Benzema scored the only goal for Real Madrid in the 28th minute.
