White house administration releases the plans to auction off 100 MHZ spectrum to the commercial firms. In fact, this spectrum is previously devoted to military purposes. And now they plan to sell this to commercial use.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will have the auction to sell this spectrum to firms like Verizon Communications Inc. and AT&T Inc. They will plan to auction is at December 2021. In addition, the remote business also use it from next year.

The move also permits us to boost 5G accessibility of range without trading off national security.

The White House and the Department of Defense said on Monday that 100 MHZ of mid-band range will made for sale. In addition, it helps businesses to use 5G development. The mid-band range spectrum use in the U.S. military. Similarly, it is use to work with radar system, air-traffic innovation and other various purposes.

A release from the White House said that this move will improve each industry and the lives of Americans. They plan to make the sale at December 2021 and commercial firms can use it from the 2022.

Till now U.S. defence department use it to critical radar operations, such as Air missile defence, authorities said.
