Terrorist Attack in J&K: Two Cops become Martyred

Two police men from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) had killed, and another injured in a terrorist attack on the Srinagar border this morning, police said.

On Friday, police in riot gear raided a trial, driving off 100s of rebels by truck. It was the 2nd attack of the last three days on security forces. They killed an army soldier in a Wednesday attack on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway near the Army’s Quick Reaction Team (QRT) at Budgam.

In fact, terrorists open fire injured three police men. They rushed them to a hospital for treatment; but two of them passed away because of the acute injuries. The full area has surrounded now. Kashmir Police tweeted.

IGP Vijay Kumar’s Statements

Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has said that Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM), a Pakistan-based militant group, was competent for the attack on police forces in Budgam.

However, Kumar said two fighters came and started firing at the police group. In which two policemen died and one injured. However, Jaish-e-Mohammed seems to have a hand behind this. They admit that.

Today’s attack comes ahead of Independence Day, as they have warned security in Kashmir. However, Terrorists injured three police men in the attack. They rushed both of them to a hospital for a cure, police said in a statement. Two of them died during treatment, police said.

Informing about the incident, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted; Terrorists randomly opened fire on the police force near Budgam Bypass. Terrorists injured police personnel. So they rushed them to the clinic for treatment. Two of them died.

Security forces and police have stepped up patrols. In fact, it also has deployed troops across the city. They will hold the main Independence Day function at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar.

However, Officials said a random search of vehicles was acting near the main working place, the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium. In fact, they have taken related security moves in other districts of the valley, officials said.
