India Covid-19 Statistics: Cases Surpasses 50-Lakh Mark

India’s COVID-19 cases rushed well beyond the 50 lakhs mark on Tuesday evening. In fact, the cases raised this much merely ten days after it reached 40 lakhs. Also, the total number of recoveries also increased to 3,937,412.

The Union Ministry of Health statistics updated on Tuesday 8 am reported a one-day significant rise of 81,911 infections. It brings the nation’s COVID-19 cumulative total to 4,926,914. In fact, the death count also climbed to 80,808 with 1,054 people falling victim to the infection in one day.

However, till night, a combined total from the ministry of health showed India’s COVID-19 cases raised at 5,016,182, the number of deaths at 82,075, and recovery at 3,937,412. They gathered the cumulative total as provided by the states and territories of the nation.

As far as it takes recoveries into consideration, India is now in the 2nd place, followed by the US. This data has passed on as per Johns Hopkins University. This University has compiled COVID-19 data from all over the world. India is the 2nd badly hit country in the world after the US in COVID-19 case scenarios. While as per the data based on Johns Hopkins University, India is at the 3rd spot in terms of deaths.

The Union Ministry of Health reported that 3,937,412 folks recovered from covid infection. Also, it brings the national recovery rate to 78.28%. It also reduces the rate of COVID-19 deaths to 1.64%.

Cases Rising Significantly

India’s COVID-19 tally had surpassed the 20 lakhs mark on 7th Aug. It passed to 30 lakhs on 23rd Aug. Also, on the 5th Sept the cases passed over 40 lakhs.

There are 996,695 active cases of COVID-19 inside the nation containing 20.08% of the entire cases, the data claimed. The increased number of recoveries has also resulted in a gentle improvement in the variation between the recovered and active cases. The difference has gone through 22 lakhs.

The nation has recorded most of the covid cases from several states like Maharashtra (MAH), Karnataka (KAR), Andhra Pradesh (AP), Uttar Pradesh (UP), Tamil Nadu (TN), Delhi (DEL), West Bengal (WB), and Kerala (KER).
