India needed 321 runs in 40 overs to maintain the challenge in the tri-series. Kohli came out and started washing the Sri Lankan bowling and India reached the target in just 36.4 overs.

With an average of 13.50 on England’s last tour in 2014, Kohli was excited to make an impression on the tour. He scored a brilliant century in the first Test of the series in Birmingham. However, scored 149 after a struggle against Jimmy Anderson. Apart from Kohli, no other Indian batsman has scored 26 runs. He then led Kohli to 97 and 103 in two innings at Nottingham.
Kohli has an average of over 50 in all three formats, which is not possible for any other cricketer in modern cricket. Kohli has scored 11,867 runs in 248 ODIs with 43 centuries. However, he has scored 7,240 runs in 86 Tests at an average of 53.62. In 82 T20s, he has scored the most 2794 runs at an average of 50.80.
