Former Union Minister of the nation Jaswant Singh passed. The incident was happened on today (Sunday) morning.

He was sick for quite a while. As a result, he died at 6.55 am today due to heart failure. 82-year-old Jaswant Singh was in the state of coma as far back from the six years. He was admitted to the Army Hospital on 25 June.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have said pain over his demise. He was a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. Many politicians have expressed sadness over his passing.

PM Modi Tweeted

Remembering him, PM Modi tweeted, ‘they will remember Jaswant Singh Ji with his novel attitude toward the issues of law-making issues and society. He played an important role in security of BJP. PM also said that he will consistently recollect their discussion. Sympathies to his family and allies.

PM Modi wrote in the tweet that, ‘Jaswant Singh Ji served our nation with the difficult as well as his hard work. First as a soldier and then during his long relationship with the law-making issues. During Atal Ji’s government, he also deal with significant divisions and then left a solid mark in the economic world, safeguard and outside issues. I am shocked by his passed on.

PM Modi said that, ‘Had talk with the Shri Manvendra Singh and grieved the passing of Jaswant Singh ji. Singh was battling with the infection boldly from the previous 6 years. Manvendra Singh is the child of Jaswant Singh.

Communicating distress over the loss of Jaswant Singh, Rajnath Singh wrote, ‘Saddened by the demise of legend BJP pioneer and a previous Minister Shri Jaswant Singh Ji. He served the nation in large limits and remembering for the charge of the Ministry of Defense. He saw himself as an effective priest and MP. Shri Jaswant Singh Ji will be associate with his scholarly capacities and the government to the nation. He likewise assumed a significant part in holding up the BJP in Rajasthan. Condolence to his family and the allies in this hour of sorrow.

Beside PM, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed the sympathies on his passing and tweet that, he grieved the demise of former Union Minister Shri Jaswant Singh. As a military official and a talented minister, Singh gave superb support to the nation. Singh’s fair mind in both the jobs delivered in front of the nation once again from the chances ordinarily. In fact, my sympathies to the family.

Singh’s Life:

Singh was born on 3 January 1938 in the town Jasol, Barmer area, Rajasthan. His father was the Thakur Sardar Singh Rathore of Jasol and mother was Kunwar Baisa. Afterwards, Singh was married to Sheetal Kanwar. They had two children. His elder child, Manvendra Singh, is a Member of Parliament from Barmer. He was an officer in the Indian Army during the 1960s and was a former student of Mayo College and the National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla.

Jaswant Singh was taking to the Rajya Sabha for the first time in 1980.  During 1980, the government headed by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Singh held ministries like defense, foreign and finance between 1996 and 2004. In 1998, he was the government minister within the Vajpayee government.

Later, in 2000, Singh took over  the Defense Minister of India. When out of power in 2004, Jaswant Singh served as the Leader of Opposition from 2004 to 2009.Jaswant Singh has been one of the longest serving MPs in India, having the held membership in either of the 2 houses consecutively between 1980 or 2014. He has been selects on a BJP ticket five times to the Rajya Sabha (1980, 1986, 1998, 1999, 2004) and 4 times to the Lok Sabha (1990, 1991, 1996, 2009).
