Since 1953, Cambodia has been celebrating the ceremony of its independence from France every 9th Nov. In fact, today is the 67th anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence.

In 1863, France went into governing Cambodia. King Norodom Sihanouk called for sovereignty from France in 1949 after being colonized for about 80 years. He was triumphant in carrying out full autonomy in 1953. In fact, the France decolonized the entire country. Cambodian people referred to the King Norodom as “the father of freedom (almost-almost)” because of this feat. It also points up that he was the authentic hero of Cambodian country. He helped make the country grow quickly.

On 18th Sept 1949, King Norodom Sihanouk repealed the National Assembly. He also negotiated a pact with France, giving Cambodia some freedom. This treaty gave much of the legislative functions within Cambodia to Khmer individuals.

King Salman, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, sent a cable of huge congrats to King Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.

Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has also sent a cable of congrats to King Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the annual celebration of his country’s Independence Day.

Government of the United States of America (USA) and the American citizens also congratulates the people of Cambodia regarding the 67th anniversary of Kingdom of Cambodia’s freedom.
