The Berlin cops disperse the protest of people on Saturday after participants failed to follow social distancing laws. People opposed to the disease outbreak restrictions on Germany ordered this protest.

Huge numbers of people rallied at the famous Brandenburg Gate of the German capital in the morning before heading down the boulevard Unter den Linden in protest of Germany’s covid preventive actions. Police officers in Berlin also assaulted, as well as cops arrested several people during protests against the restrictions on covid-19 in Germany.

Thousands criticized Germany’s coronavirus restrictions on Saturday in a Berlin rally that insisted “the end of the pandemic” has arrived; a remark that comes only as officials are voicing rising fears about an upsurge in new infections.

Germany has seen an upswing in fresh cases in recent weeks. Nearly 1,550 new infections reported by the country’s disease control agency over the past day. They have praised Germany for the way it has handled the pandemic. In fact, the country’s death toll of over 9,360 people is less than 1/4th of the amount of people who have died of COVID-19 in Britain.

Around 18,000 strikers had gathered on Saturday, at the Unter den Linden and at the Brandenburg Gate. Among the participants are citizens who reject the restraint of vital rights by the pandemic measures; but also esotericists, conspiracy theorists and right-wing extremists.

Protesters raised a wide range of outrages and posters protesting against vaccines, face masks and the German government. Some waved American, Russian or German Reich flags, while others had T-shirts pushing for the “QAnon” conspiracy theory. Many others wore clothes from the neo-Nazis with white racist slogans and insignia however most attendees denied far-right views.

Police Guidelines Not Followed by People

A message conveyed to the rioters that, they are not keeping minimum distances across the board despite repeated requests. Also, for this reason, police have stated that, there is no other option than to dissolve this riot meeting. The police had initially asked the strikers to wear mouth and nose safety mask because the minimum distance also not observed there.

In Germany, masks are mandatory to wear on public transport, stores and some public buildings such as libraries and schools.

In the meantime, a few hundred protesters gathered to oppose new mask rules in eastern Paris on Saturday. Also, some other restrictions prompted by rising virus infections around France. In fact, police watched this closely, but did not intervene.

The Berlin police are breaking up the large strike by rivals of the corona restrictions. The decisive factor is in particular non-compliance with the distance regulations according to the Infection Protection Act.

After the first strike in Berlin-Mitte broke up, many thousands of people gathered on Saturday afternoon to revolt against the Corona policy at the Victory Column.
